Craftsman eager 1 cranks then dies?
Hello, I have posted this in another section also.
I bought the craftsman used. I can pump the priming bulb and it cranks fine. It will only run for about 30 sec. then die. There is a red lever above the carb., that is missing a spring from it to a lever on the side of the motor. I am not sure what that is. Other than that, it seem to get plenty of fuel in the bowl when I take it loose. The guy that sold it said that it had run fine the season before. He had gotten out of his lawn mowing bussiness and no longer needed the mower. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I considered the carb., but it will flood if I prime it too much, so I figured that it was getting gas. Is there anything else that I am missing? It has new fuel, oil, a new plug, and I have sanded the magnito and reset it to ensure that I was getting fire.
you need that spring man, I forget what its called, just look at a mower that's running and you will see what i mean it is needed
