Craftsman Lawn Mower Tractor Parts

When shopping around for a fancy new lawnmower, you've got a lot of options to choose from. Maybe your old mower broke, or perhaps you just moved into your brand new dream home and need a nice lawn mower to keep the lawn looking great, but whatever your reason, you'll have to do your research and decide which kind of mower is right for your needs.

One factor you should keep in mind when looking for your new lawn mower is the size of the lawn area that you will be cutting. If you have acres of land to maintain, you will certainly want a riding mower so cutting the grass won't take a whole day to complete. Also, if you have medical conditions or your age makes it difficult for you to exert the physical effort to mow a lawn, you might want to still get a riding mower even if your yard isn't huge. Or if you're like me, you can get a ride on mower just for the fun of it! The newer zero turn mowers are great because maneuvering around corners and other small spaces is a lot easier than it used to be with the older ride on lawn mowers. Keep in mind though that if you have a smaller yard, these types of mowers might actually be more expensive and more of a hassle than it's worth, so make sure you actually need a riding mower first. A good rule of thumb is if you can mow the lawn in half an hour or less with a walking mower, then you don't need a ride-on one (unless of course you have a physical condition).

If you're going with a more traditional walking lawn mower, your basic choices are push, gas, or electric. Needless to say, only go with an old fashioned push mower if you're looking to get a good workout from your yard maintenance, because you will definitely be doing a lot of sweating and burning calories. If you want an easier time mowing, you will want either a gas or electric machine. Each type has their pros and cons. Gas mowers have a lot of power, but you will of course need to replenish the gas whenever it runs out, plus sometimes they can be a pain to start up, and gas mowers require more maintenance and repair than other types. Electric mowers are the most user friendly and don't really require much maintenance, though they don't have as much power as their gas counterparts and your distance will be limited by the length of your extension cord.

Whichever type of mower you decide to go with, make sure you do your research. Check out online reviews, ask your friends and neighbors for advice, and spend a little time shopping around before you make your final decision. Happy lawn mowing!
