Why won't my Craftsman mower start when hot w/ air filter installed?
My 6.25HP Craftsman Eager-1 won't start when hot unless I pull off the air filter. I can reinstall it after a minute or so. Is the mix too rich? If so - how do I adjust it & how do I know how much to adjust it? If that's not the problem then what is? It's got fresh fuel...

is there oil in the filter,you might need to give it a good wringing out,the oil traps dust particles if too much it will block air flow..............tom
