Craftsman Mower Oil Drain Plug

My craftsmen 5 hp lawn mower won't start. I did leave full in over the winter and now nothing. Any ideas?

I have drained the fuel and replaced it with new. I added some marvel mystery oil to try to get it lubricated. I even added some carburator cleaner in case it was gunked up.

I replaced the spark plug and the air filter and WD-40'd the whole thing.

Now what?
Sears has told me that the model does not have a fuel filter of any kind.
How reasonable is it for a do it yourself hacker to take the carboratur apart?

Your carburetor check valve under the float is probably stuck shut. You may end up taking it apart to get the gunk out of it. Next fall use gas stabilizer in the gas.
Don't spray oil in the cylinder it's just going to foul the plug.
You can try to get it started by taking the plug out and put a teaspoon of gas in the hole, replace the plug and start it. If it starts and stops it's because gas isn't going into the bowl.
