Im trying to fix a riding lawnmower that won't crank. It's a wizard, maybe 6 years old.?
The battery is hot I know. I replaced the solenoid but it still won't start. I know the solenoid is good cause I crossed the 2 post and it turned over and will run until you shut it off. I have an Ohm meter to check the safety's switch's, I know 1 is under the seat. there's 1 for the blades and there's 1 for the manual clutch. Where are the ones located for the blades and the clutch? I'm pretty much work wise and I have common since when it come to fixing things. I don't understand, The mower worked fine a then it stopped. I own a craftsman's mower myself which looks just like the one I'm trying to fix. If anyone can lead me me the right direction I sure would appreciate it. Thank you
hi martinez the first thing to try is basics take out the spark plug and clean it and gauge it and then put it back in then if that doesnt work tighten the battery connections and check for lose connections near the solenoid and you will know if the solenoid is not working as it will only make a clicking sound and if none of them work contact me @ ericmoore13@hotmail.com and you can give me the lawnmower details and i can give you more help no problem at all
