Honda lawn mower won't start...?
I've got a GXV140 that won't start. If I spray starting fluid into the carb it will fire up and then sputter out when the starting fluid is exhausted. I took the carb apart and the jet was clogged, so I cleaned it out and reinstalled it, but had the same symptoms. I took it off again and soaked the damn thing in carb cleaner for two days straight, reassembled everything, then checked it out and had the same symptoms. I cleaned off the spark plug and am sure the carburetor is clean (I can see right through the jet when I shine a flashlight into the carb). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Used fresh gas and wouldn't it NOT be spark if it fires with starting fluid? I've cleaned the plug and it's a fairly new E3, if you're familiar with them... very high quality.
I suspect fire. I would put another plug in first. If that doesn't work check the ignition far firing. I'm not familiar with Honda but I'm sure it has some sort of fin setup on the flywheel that you get your magnet action also which could have an obstruction. You could also still not be getting gas good. Good Luck!
