My neighbor has a Honda HRR216TDA self propelled push mower that he got in 2006 is it worth $275?
He has used it 3 times and I used it twice to cut his lawn about 1 acre. He wants to trade it in to buy a riding mower. The dealer will only give him $200 bucks toward a trade and I told him I'll give him $275. He said he paid over $400 for it...is it worth it?
Personally, I've never heard of a Honda lawn mower, but 275 sounds worth it. My husband bought a popular brand (self-propelled) from Lowes last summer for $200 on SALE. I think it was originally $350.) Honda is a dependable brand, but I can't imagine where you would buy replacement parts if you should ever have to. Your neighbor needs to realize that only homes appreciate in value. You're only offering $150 less than what he paid for it. Surely he's got that much out of it mowing his yard himself. I think that's a really good offer, in my opinion. If he wants to trade it in, you ought to remind him that trade-ins are big time RIP Offs! The dealer wants it for $200 so he can turn around and sell it for $300.00. You can always sell a product for more if you sell it yourself. Good luck!
