dos this lawn mower have a synchromesh gearbox?
it the toro 11 32 rear engine rider cause i want to shift without the clutch it you have this mower or know how to hook up a clutch i know how it works but now how to put it on.
most mowers with a multispeed trans run a neat little drive plate.the clutch is a wheel that runs on a flat round plate.the closer the wheel is to center, the lower the gear.the further out the higher the gear.when you go to the oppossite side of the round plate,the rotation of the wheel is reversed,giving reverse selection.this is why the clutch is grabby on some,the clutch just seperates from the drive plate.
