What can I do about the noise from kids on dirt bikes in the woods near my house?
Every day at five till dark, all day Saturday & Sunday they ride thru the property behind me. Been over a month now. It sounds like an army of lawn mowers without sound mufflers right outside my window. I dread coming home now. & weekends are shot. It used to be a quiet country neighborhood. Even with the windows closed & music on you can hear them. & now it's getting hot, so the windows are open. Called the cops - they said "TOUGH! It's their property". (Yeah, right. Don't look to me next benefit time)
Any suggestions?
So, these people have the nerve to ride motorbikes on their own property ... the property they pay taxes on and maintain, and you have a problem with it?
I agree with the police ... TOUGH! it's their property! According to what you wrote they do not ride at night or early in the morning (during the hours most people sleep).
You want to prevent them from enjoying their property? Make them an offer on the place, if it's generous enough they will sell the property to you and move away!
For crying out loud ... why do some people think that everything they do not like should be against the law.
