Should I buy a reel mower and sell my gas mower - I have 3/4 acre of land and it takes me an hour to mow.?
I'm in love with the idea of having to never buy gas!
Would it take the same amount of time to mow a lawn with a reel mower as it does with a gas mower? Shouldn't it be quicker? I can walk fast with the reel mower, but wonder how good they really are.
How often would I need to sharpen the blades?
I mow the lawn approx once every 10-12 days during the spring/summer and have 3/4 acre of land - all grass.

I have a 7-acre lot and use a commercial mower with a 52 inch deck. It takes me about an hour to mow the whole thing, sometimes more. 3/4 acres would probably take you about 20 minutes with a reel mower.
With those blades I doubt you would have to sharpen them a lot since you have a small patch of land and only mow about 10 times. I sharpen mine every two years and mow at least 40 times a year.
