I have a murray riding lawn mower and I am looking for the safety switch model # 313777?
son ran over a rope and it will not start. He says he turned it off. Got the rope undone "was wrapped just a little bit" and got a new battery and the mower will not turn over. I was told there was a safety switch and I can't find the manual for it online.
The battery cable are clean. I did not start it right after because I had to get the rope off and after I just left it alone. The light don't even come on. It will not turn over at all. After I installed the new battery it still wont do anything.
most of those safety switches are under the seat. i can't see that as being your problem though. almost sounds like somethings wrong with the motor. did it turn over at all afterwords?
are the battery cables clean? does it do anything when you try to start it? maybe a bad battery cable?
give us as much info as possible as to what it will or won't do.
