Lawn Mower Snow Blowers
What to do with all my grass, repost?

Sorry this is a repost, cause I really need advice and I think I posted it in the wrong section.

When my fiance and I mow our yard we got into this bad habit of emptying the grass clipping bag from the lawn mower in the corner or our yard by the fence.
Now there is this HUGE ugly mound of grass clipping from a year ago to now. I have been working on getting it cleaned up for a month now and it is just taking soooo long.

This is what I have tried...
I've tried spreading the clippings with a rake and re-mowing it so the grass will go in the lawn mower bag then throwing that away. But it stalls out the lawn mower and takes a lot of time.

I have tried just shoveling the grass and putting it in bags, but that takes an eternity.

I have gotten our snow blower and went over the grass and tried to shoot it in a garbage bag, but I bet you can guess how that went over.

So yeah, is there anyone out there how knows of a faster way I can clear out this mess?

Your best bet is to compost it. Grass by itself gets way too hot to break down and it smells. Rake the clippings into a uniform pile and then level it. Divide the pile in half and remove half of the clippings onto the other half of the pile. You'll have a pile that is half the size of the other. Start to discard your vegetable and fruit wastes into the smaller pile. You can even discard paper shreddings from your office. Once you have a layer, lightly cover the wastes with clippings from the other side. Repeat the process until you have used up the other side. You should have pretty good compost with 6 months or so. In the spring, use the pile to top dress your lawn and you shouldn't have to fertilize much. In the future, leave the clippings on your lawn.

Best of luck
