Lawn Mowers, Motor vs. manual?
I am looking to purchase a new front throw lawn mower in order to take care of my lawn, and I was wondering if there is any value in paying more money for a motorized lawn mower rather than purchasing a motorless rotary one.
I bought the Fiskars Momentum reel mower $200 plus tax
it works good in a straight line on flat ground but it's not perfect on the turns and bumpy ground.
it doesn't have a bag so it's best if you don't let the grass get too high and for example in my yard we get a lot of huge magnolia leaves and it just spits those back out without even touching them.
the great part is the quiet and not needing to pull the start cord or add gasoline
if you don't mind pushing it and have a small yard or a don't need to make a lot of twist and turns it's capable.
but if you have a bumpy yard or a lot of tree roots it's not as easy to maneuver.
I had looked at others but this one is superior.
it expensive but it's much better than the $139.99 ones
and no bag so you might want to cut more often
it cuts best when your walking in a straight line and get the reel spinning quickly
you can order it from a few stores and have it shipped to your house or the store at a little better price but I needed it right away so got one at Lowes. they have 30 day return policy w/receipt so if you hate it, you can return it
