Does 2 cycle oil really need to be mixed with gasoline for my Murray lawn mower? Did I buy the wrong oil? thx
If yer lawn mower has a two cycle engine, then you got the right stuff and yes it needs to be mixed with gas.
If yer lawn mower has a 4 cycle engine, take the two cycle oil back to the store and exchange it for some SAE30 engine oil and do not mix it with gasoline. You probably have a four cycle engine on there. In that case, oil goes in the crankcase and gas goes in the gas tank and neither the twain shall meet.
