Purely depends on you.
First, reel mowers generally make a better cut overall, although you need to cut more often. Also there is a little more maintenance on the reel mowers, as they need sharping quite a bit.
Rotary mowers generally work wrll in almost all applications, and have very little maintenance. Although rotary mowers tend to shred or tear the grass blades, and you don't have as fine of a cut.
