My Cub Cadet Lawn Mower deck keeps turning off!!!?
I have a 16 year old Cub Cadet lawn mower that has about 5,077 Hours on it. We bought this tractor brand new, we are the only owner. Now it has been running weird lately like it will start up fine and then i turn on the PTO and begin cutting the grass. Then About after 10 minutes the lawn deck will shut off. We cut about 4 acres at a time with this tractor. Is there an easy way to fix this. I just bought a air filter, a PTO switch, a new ignition, oil change for it. If I have to buy i new mower i understand this lawn mower has served its job well the last 16 years. The engine is 18 hrs power and it has a 50 in deck.
Sounds like the clutch is going out or the power to it is being interupted. When the deck shuts down check the power to the clutch. A new electric clutch is about $300.. Around $600.00 installed.
