How to attach a tether kill switch to a riding lawn mower.?
The lawn mower is an Arien's riding lawn mower with a Briggs and Stratton 8 HP engine in the back. It has an on/off switch near the front with a key. How would I attach a tether kill switch to this mower?
There is a small wire connected to the ignition module that is a ground wire. It goes to the ignition switch. When you turn the key to the off position it grounds the ignition module and kills the engine. So if you use that wire to your tether switch and a wire to ground from the switch it should kill the engine. Not sure how the tether switch works but assume that it holds the circuit open until the "key" is pulled out.
