
lawn mower problems???
Im having prob geting my push mower to start..ive changed the spark plug, air filter, put new gaskets on th carb, even put new float and needle and seat in carb bowl..ive cleaned the carb..but i havent soaked it in anything..do i need to soak the carb to get it comepletely clean?..need some serious advice please..the mower is only about 2 yrs old...
You might want to check to make sure you have spark. I just had one that the plug wire was pinched by the cowling and shorted it out. Could be that simple. Yes to the carb cleaning. The best way is to soak it, and blow it out with compressed air. Make sure all the passages are clear. I went to Harbor freight and bought a ignition spark tester that hooks between the wire and the plug. $1.49 and it works great. A lot easier than the old grounding method. You can even see it in the daylight.
