Briggs and Stratton Riding mower makes clicking sound when trying to start?
The sound is coming from under the seat and not the starter.
The battery has a full charge of 12V.
Anyone know how to fix?

I am looking for a fix that may not include buying a starter or something over $30. It is what it is, if I have to, but that is my goal.
You need to measure the voltage at the big red starter solenoid switch wire that comes from the battery while someone is trying to start the mower. It works exactly the same way with a car. It has to measure at least 10 volts or so while the engine is cranking. When you turn the key to start, the battery voltage from the start switch should also go down to the starter solenoid on a much smaller wire to tell it to switch on.
