does the landlord have to supply a lawn mower for yard maintenance in a apartment complex?
me and my sister are renting 1 of 3 units in a house complex, and we signes a lease saying we would do yard work and mowing the lawn but htey knew we did not have a lawn mower or any other tools. is it the landlords responsability to supply a lawn mower because it is a apartment?
No, it is not the landlord's responsibility. That would be like saying that because you are responsible for vacuuming your own carpet, but don't own a vacuum cleaner, that the landlord should provide that for you. You are responsible for maintaining your rental space (including the purchase, rental, or borrowing of neccessary equipment or hiring a service) unless otherwise noted in the lease.
