Is there anyway i can speed up an old Murray?
I own a small murray 10/30 10hp ride on lawn mower and i wanted to know if there was anyway i could speed it up, this could include buying a bigger enigne but i would need help choosing it
Change the drive pulley on the engine to one of a larger diameter or the driven pulley on the transaxle to one of a smaller diameter. Remember you will lose pulling power by doing this so don't change the drive pulley by more then 1/2" or so or the driven by more ten 1-1/2''. It might not cut grass as good because of the added speed. You will also have to change the belt to the correct length.
