why does spark plug keep getting damaged when I try to crank lawn mower?
I have a 38 in cut poulan riding mower. Noticed a damaged plug,so I replaced it and when I tried to crank mower it wouldn't start. Rechecked spark plug and the end was damaged. Looked like it had been smashed.
the only thing that can do that is the wrong spark plug. it's too long and the piston is hitting it.
