Where is the oil release on my 5.5 hp Craftsman self-propelled mower?
Dumb question I know. My wife bought this mower at a garage sale while I was overseas, so I have no owner's manual. I think it was manufactured about 2001-2002 with the
"Eager 1" motor. For the life of me I can't find the drain nut on this mower. I'm guessing it's the style that drains from the fill inlet, but before I tip the thing over and get a bunch of fuel and oil in the filter, etc, I thought I would see if anybody knows the correct way to do this (aside from just going to Sears and talking with them). The drain plug is under the mower deck. Disconnect the spark plug and support the mower on cinder blocks. Slide under the mower and remove the drain plug. You may have to scrape the dried grass from the underside of the deck to see anything.
