Riding Lawn Mower Ramps
2 boards at 2" x 8" for portable ramp.?

Ok I'm trying to build a portable ramp for a riding lawnmower. I have 2 boards at 2" x 8" the building is 1' off the ground, I put 4 3 1/2" screws in the end of the boards, so that they can bite into the ground for no slippage of the boards. I painted the boards and sprinkled sand onto the boards for grip on the tires. Then you can put the boards inside the building. My brother passed recently and I'm having to figure this out on my own. I do not want to try this and the boards bust and the lawn mower flip. The lawn mower is not what I would call a big one. Can anyone please tell if this will work?
Forgot the boards are 5' long.
Thank you in advance for your help?

Actually, I would remove the screws. They are more likely to get in the way than to help. If the sand is stuck to the boards, it may help a little, but is not needed. I have used 2" boards as a ramp to put a full size motorcycle into a pickup truck. Is you mower heavier than that?
