Lawn mower problems????????????
My lawnmower is havin' problems right now.
It's spittin' out white smoke and stopping every 30 seconds when I start the engine.
My dad put too much oil ni the lawnmower... I think. And I DON'T KNOW HOW to drain the oil.
I cleaned the air filter, which didn't help too much...
I think I should replace my spark plug... Would that help?
What are some other things that I should do??
My mom wants me to go fix it at SEARS... but that's gonna cost a load of money.
And I can't buy another lawn mower...
P.S.
This lawn mower is fairly new
Oh... and ABOUT how much does it cost to repair this lawnmower?

You probably do have too much oil in the crankcase. You can quickly check that by removing the oil dipstick, wipe it clean with a rag, then re-insert it. Now pull it out and measure your oil level. It should be within the "marks". If it is high, then you will want to remove the extra oil.
To remove the oil, you may have an oil drain plug through which you can do this. However, for most mowers, you can just remove the oil dipstick, tip the mower over (make sure you don't also empty out the gas tank this way) on its two wheels so the oil flows out of the dipstick, and into a catch pan. If you tip it so that the gas tank is at its highest point, and if gas tank is not too full, then only the oil will be drained.
Now settle the mower back on its four wheels, and let the oil settle for a few minutes. Measure the oil level. If it's too low, add appropriate fresh oil, a little at a time, measuring with the dipstick until you are within the proper oil level marks.
As for the air filter, if you had too much oil, then it might be saturated with oil. In this case, buy another one, and replace it.
You can also check the spark plug .... however I would just try starting the engine at this point,.
Good Luck.
