Snapper Lawn Mower Air Filters
My snapper lawn mower starts, runs for 5 seconds, and turns off?

I know it is because gas is not getting to the engine.
It cannot be the flywheel pin.
I put new gas in it.
It has oil.
It has a new air filter.
I checked the carbuerator.
Cleaned the carb and made sure the float was not sticking.
I have tried taking the air filter out.
I have tried taking the gas cap off.
It has new spark plugs.
I cleaned the carb. and tried unclogging the main jet.
I made sure the manifold assembly is tight.

I know it is because gas is not getting to the engine because I started it, and then kept on hitting the gas pump and it worked.

What else could it be?
i took the carb. apart and the needle is fine. and it is not dirty.

The carburetor needs to be taken apart, soaked in a quality carburetor cleaner, not the spray stuff, and put back together with a rebuild kit. Soak the carb body and parts, rinse them off per the directions on the cleaner and blow it out with compressed air. Inspect all passages for dirt and junk, clean or resoak as required to get it clean. Just taking it apart and "trying" to clean doesn't always work.
