Ignition Wiring on a Stanley riding mower w/ a tecumseh 17.5 motor?
Wiring a ignition switch for a Tecumseh engine 17.5 on a riding mower?
I got 9 wires
2 yellow
2 red
1 white
1 orange
1 purple
2 black
on the switch i am tring to install it have 4 places to wire too and they are
acc bat starter igniton
I dont know a color scheme to beging wiring can some one please help???

so far I have figured out that the purple wire is for the head lights and red is battery
From a manual I have:
Tecumseh Products Company standard wiring color codes effective August, 1992 are as follows:
Code Product
Yellow - Alternator A.C. Leads
Red - Alternator D.C. + Leads
Brown - Alternator D.C. - Leads
Black - Alternator Ground Leads, Battery Ground Leads
Orange - 12 Volt Starter B + Leads
Dark Green - Ignition Shut-Off Leads
NOTE: Prior to August 1992, wire codes changed according to model and specification numbers.
