toro personal pace push mower problem?
Ok, so I start it today, do half the lawn and it quits. Try to restart and it runs for 2 seconds and quits. Let it sit for 15 minutes (maybe flooded?), started it and it ran for 5 minutes and quit. Replaced air filter and spark plug and problem persists. I have used it several times this year and no problems. Is this a symptom of water in the gas? My fuel can was under a leak in the garage, but all openings on the can were shut? If it is bad gas, is there an additive I can use? Thanks in advance.
You could have at least two problems. One being the water in the gas. This would cause the motor to spit and sputter, but you did not describe the problem as such. It could be the float in the carburetor is in need or adjustment or cleaning. The float keeps a certain amount of gas for the carburetor to use and if sticking or is not floating properly will let the carburetor run out of gas. Hope this helps.
