Was told never to use dry gas in small engines due to the alcholol, had problem with engine on mower?
Had a zero turn with Kawasaki 23HP engine, had some problems with it popping on and off and found out that gas for small engines should not use dry gas because of alcohol content. Neighbor got a snow blower, thought it was the right thing to do so condensation would hot freeze, he too was having erratic engine (up and down and up and down), told him to get some new gas, to use dry gas in small engines. He found his problem disappeared too. Is this just a fluke or have some of you that have small engine experience find this to be true?
small engines and small carburetors don't like old fuel, drain old gas and give it fresh stuff, gasoline stabilizer would be a better option and if storing fill the gas tank to keep condensation from contaminating your gas, clean plug and new gas will usually fix your trouble, take the float bowl off your carb and let it drain
